Dyslexia

We hold a certificate for teaching children with specific literacy difficulties (dyslexia),
which is accredited by the British Dyslexia Association.

Did you know?

  • With one in 10 of the population estimated to have dyslexia, more than 6.3 million people in the UK are potentially affected by dyslexia.

  • 1 in 10 children do not reach the expected national standard in reading by the time they finish primary school (National Curriculum KS2).

  • Dyslexia makes some things harder to learn – it puts barriers in the way of progress.  But, almost always, those barriers can be overcome, especially with the right kind of help and support offered by Delle Education.

  • Dyslexia can affect different people, at different ages, in different ways and its effects can range from mild to severe. Children can display signs of dyslexia from an early age - as young as 3 or 4 years old - but it is usually not formally identified until the age of 6 or 7. Encouraging your child's reading from a young age will help develop your child's confidence and ability.
All children are individual and will learn & understand in a different way.  At Delle Education, we are trained to recognise dyslexic traits and manage our workshops accordingly, in order to accommodate each and every individual need.

Please contact us with your questions / queries to discuss the uniqueness of your situation.
